Well it's absolutely no secret that I am totally hooked on Sims 3.  Not only is playing it consuming my life but also building houses so that I can upload them to MTS.  BUT I had to stop and post when I found this:

I would like to wish all the Elves going to Toronto a very happy trip.  Due to matters beyond my control I won't be able to join you so please please take loads of pics for me!!!!  I really really wish i could have been there and it's even too late to give my ticket to someone else so even that has been wasted!

My Grandad just died.  I should be utterly devistated but for some reason I'm not.  I know it has been a long time coming.  The question is should I still go to the book release tonight or would that be disrespectful.  I really don't know.

OMG I am going clay pigeon shooting!!  That sounds dangerous!!!

It wasn't too bad actually.  My shoulder hurts like hell and the smell is funny but it was fun.  Note to self try and actually hit something next time!!

There's something very nerve wracking about flying home for the first time in two years.  All the people you haven't seen the family members.  It's wierd.  Just sat on the plane listening to the accent that has been part of my life for all bar the last two and it sounds so alien.  I was talk to a liverpudlian woman and I though that she was from some other country my accent recogniotion has got that bad!!  The english accent sounds so dirty, so common with the drawn out A's and the luv's and ducks.  Oh well this could be interesting!

I was a pretty uneventful flight.  The film were crap thank god I had the HP films on my ipod to keep me sane!  I was sat looking out of my window as we passed Liverpool and I was amazed.  I had forgotton how the british wind their streets around like spaghetti.  The uniform military look of the canadian block had been replaced wioth strand after strand of finely spun golden thread twinkling up at the plane like a spiderweb gone crazy.  It was really beautiful and something that I had nver approicated while I lived here.

Richard met me at the airport and took me to his place - he had galaxy and max power at the airport bless him!  Lol the cars are funny on the wrong side of the road and the gearstick looks wierd - I kind of get Robs point now!!

Oh boy this is like being in an alternate reality where you know everything there but for some reason it feels wrong!

Today at 3:13 am Corey Brandon Patrick Creaser came into this world weighing 9lb 4oz and 57 cm long!  He was born after a five hour labour with only 8 minutes of pushing (all with no epidural - ouch!!)

Well just after the New Year I was having a slow Leaky day (you know the kind that used to exixt before the whole recent craziness started) where you browse the topics you don't normally go into that often) and I, liking crafts, ended up in the Leaky Crafts section.  While there I found a link to a wonderful knitting patten (Dumbledore would be so proud!)  for the scarves that are in PoA at a place called atypically.knit.   Well I really wnted to make said scarf (only problem being I have never knitted in my life!!) but I must have gone thorugh a crazy day and started it anyone and after two weeks of knitting

It ended up about six and a half feet long!!

I actually finished it on the day that the release was announced but I have had so much stuff to post that I didn't get a chance before now.

Well Alex has decided that being one means a whole load of things - including he is part monkey and yes gravity does hurt!!

I only hope that Child Services never see that photo!!  We have had no heating all day as at minus 40 degrees (well 38 but ya know!) our heating pipes froze! so Bez spend all day trying to fix them.  Alex wanted to help so tried to prove his I-am-one grown-up-ness he walked everywhere all day to prove that he was 'so big' and could help uncle Bez.  Unfortunately he fell and banged his face on a storage tote.  The cut only looks small (with the dumb bell one without it it gapes open) but within a second he was covered (and I mean COVERED in blood, over all of his face his clothes 5 sheets of bounty!!) and screaming his little head off.  All this came after he had been sick all morning (he couldn't even eat his birthday cake!!)  He recovered well although he was very quiet the rest of the day.

Danni however loves gravity and wishes it would work a bit faster as being stuck at four centimeters also sucks!

Well it was Alex's very first birthday today!!!!!!!!! Happy Birthday Alex!!! He loved his chocolatey 'face' cake and all of the cards. We had a little party and he loved every minute of it!! He could also remember how this wrapping paper thing worked all the way from Christmas!

It dosen't seen two minutes since he was born and now little brother or sister is due any day!!

I was going to post yet another random post about the insane madness that has overtaken my life since finding out exactly how chaotic this summer will be when I saw the horric damage done to the homes in Florida.  I know quite a few people in Florida.  One of my really good friends used to live there until he died last year, and I have a relative who virtually lives there. Having never been to Florida personally, I can't appricate the beauty that the state must have in order to attract so many people to live and wok there, but I can only imagine the horror of waking to find that something like this has ripped through your community.  It makes -50 degrees C and four feet of snow seem like a walk in the park!  But seriously how can anyone possibily live in a State where they are all too aware that this may happen and not lose their minds?  By no means is this an insult to anyone in the sunny State but more a recognition of their extraordinay strengh of committment and mind because I have no doubt that the people affected will pick themselves up and carry on as always.  I don't think I could do that.  I would probably lose my mind!  So for today at least my heart is with all the people who are having to face the loss of loved ones and of those having to start rebuilding their lives.  I admire you and your strength.
